Surf City, Here We Come

Huntington Beach hosts over 11 million visitors every summer. The day activities are obvious with over 8 miles of uninterrupted beachfront. Don't be afraid because Huntington Beach is one of the ten safest cities in the U.S.

After hour activities in the sizzling downtown setting makes for an exciting evening. The specialty bars and restaurants offer more choices than you could enjoy during a vacation. The Aloha Grill is all Hawaiian. The menu shows calamari, smoked albacore and Hawaiian style pulled pork. The specialty tropical drinks top the bar menu. Such tantalizing combinations such as rum, peach snapps, banana liqueur and pineapple juice make some tasty drinks to try. The live entertainment at Aloha Grill features Hawaiian music, Classic Rock and Reggae.

Another popular spot is Beachfront 301 Bar and Grill. This is a sports bar with over 14 large hd-tvs. The menu ranges from appetizers, soups and salad, and sandwiches to full dinners. If jazz is your thing Cavallino Restaurante and Jazz Bar should be on your list of stops. Original Classic Italian recipes are served here with live jazz in the lounge.

Water activities include the Annual Cruise of Lights. If you enjoy observing holiday lights and decorations in multimillion dollar houses, this is a must see. Houses, docks and boats light up the waterways with beautiful color. The narrated evening cruises work their way through channels and around islands to view the festive show. The Sunset Gondola ride is a full moon romantic cruise aboard an authentic Venetian Gondola from one of the oldest boat yards in Venice. If you want to impress your guest for the evening, this would do it.

As Jan and Dean said in their song, lets go to Surf City and have some fun. There is plenty of that to be had in Huntington Beach.
