Sarasota is a beautiful city with its wonderful waters and warm temperatures most of the year. It is definitely worth visiting. With its variety of food, fun and nightlife, it has something for everyone.
One excellent place to eat is "Michael's on East." Smell the rich, homemade tomato sauce and pastas. See the rich, sinful desserts to choose from. Michael's Italian chefs will make you feel as though you're in New York's Little Italy. Enjoy 3-course dinners from around the world Tuesday through Friday. Each month enjoy a different delicacy. Monday through Friday, enjoy $5 cocktails from 5pm to 7pm. Along with the cocktails like the Honolulu Cocktail or the Sidecar, from the famous movies with Clark Gable and Humphrey Bogart, enjoy other spirits along with live music.
When it's time to enjoy the nightlife you can either choose a quietly sophisticated night filled with the symphony or ballet. Go dancing at the popular hot spot, "The Gator Club." Either dance downstairs to R&B or Top 40's music. The upstairs billiards. You can also go dancing at the "Le Barge," which is a boat floating in the warm Florida waters. Dance in the soft breeze and listen to island music.
For fun in the sun, visit the many beaches such Venice Beach of Beer Can Island. Enjoy many water sports or simply relax on the shore as soak up some rays. You can go to the Mote Aquarium or the Ringling Museum. Visit the Oscar Scherer State Park and see alligators, hike, bike or canoe the day away. This is just a few of the great things to do in Sarasota. You shouldn't just take my word for it; check it out for yourself.
