Uptown Manhattan is considered to be the area between 59th and 110th Streets in New York City. It is home to five star hotels such as Beacon, Barbizon, The Mark, and The Pierre, Central Park, which covers 840 acres, famous museums, luxurious shopping, fine restaurants, and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Some of the museums in the district are The Metropolitan, with more than three million works, The Guggenheim, The Whitney Museum of Modern Art, The Frick Collection, The Jewish Museum, The International Center of Photography, The American Museum of Natural History, and more.
Of course, there are so many other things to do, such as enjoying a walk, a carriage ride, rowing, or a gondola ride in Central Park. There is fine dining in Central Park, such as The Tavern on the Green and The Boathouse Restaurant. You can go luxury shopping at stores like Burberry and Macy's and at malls like The Galleria. There are many places for fun in Upper Manhattan, such as Radio City Music Hall, Marquee Night Club, B.B. King's Blues Club, and many others. You may want to go to The Top of the Rock, which is at the top of Rockefeller Center, where you can see beautiful, panoramic views of the city. Everyone wants to take a visit to the Empire State Building. Dylan's Candy Bar on the Upper East Side tempts children and adults alike. Le Cirque Wine Lounge has twenty thousand bottles of wine from which to choose. On the Upper West Side, the Beacon Theater is classic vaudeville theater with live music.
This is just a smattering. There is so much to choose from that there are many tours available, including the Skyline double-decker bus tours.
