My Favorite Fishing Spots on the East Coast

One of the best places to go fishing on the east coast is the Florida Keys. The fishing capital of the world is at Islamorada Key. Islamorada Key is in the middle of all the keys. At Islamorada you can fish for a variety of fish with over 100 species available for you to catch. Were talking major sports fishing. We caught a wide variety of fish. First, we started with red snapper, which is one of my favorite fish to eat. All we did was chum and they came right to the boat. You just threw in your line, got an instant bite and reeled it into the boat. After we caught about 100 red snapper it was time to do some major sports fishing. We went out a lot further to sea. We ran into a school of tuna and we had fun bringing them into the boat.  They had a little fight in them and it was exciting catching them. After the tuna, we ran into a school of dolphin, another favorite of mine to eat. The dolphin were a pretty good size and they put up a fight. After fighting the dolphin we were satisfied with our catch for the day so we decided to head in. We had another fun filled fishing experience at Islamorada.
Another place we like to fish, which is closer to home, is Ocean City Maryland. We go fishing for shark, marlin, wahoo, tuna and dolphin when we fish at Ocean City. All of these fish are plentiful in Ocean City's waters. Of course it depends on what time of the year it is as to what fish your going to catch.  The best time to go shark fishing is in June. You can usually go out and catch a mako weighing normally anywhere from 100 to 200 pounds. The shark fish put up the most fight and it can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to get it in to the boat. When you get the shark close to the boat it's best to shoot it. This way you won't have any mishaps when you get it into the boat. There have been sharks caught in these waters that have weighed in excess of 1,000 pounds. There are many more popular places to go fishing on the east coast I've just named a few of my favorites. What are yours?
