La Jolla is located in San Diego just north of Pacific Beach. La Jolla is an upscale district full of fascinating and breath taking places. When you look out over the cliffs at Scripps Park, you can see the jagged rocks of La Jolla Cove below, where seals frolic in the blue ocean. Scripps Park runs along the wild ocean. Scripps Park offers a beautiful panoramic view located on top of cliffs. Prospect Street is a famous tourist street that runs parallel with the beach. There are many upscale shops lining this street. There are art galleries, specialty boutiques, and posh spas. They have many restaurants featuring cuisine from many country's such as India, Italian and Chinese. La Jolla is home to Torrey Pines Golf Course where the US open has been held. La Jolla is also home to the University of California, San Diego which host a world renowned medical school. La Jolla is also the home of Mount Soledad, where an Easter cross sits on a breathtaking panoramic view of the whole county of San Diego, from the northern most beaches to the borders of Mexico. This view is spectacular and is definitely worth the trip up the mountain. La Jolla is definitely worth a visit if your in the San Diego area.
